Sylvain Ransy : Fingerprint

On this second album as bandleader, Guadeloupean pianist Sylvain Ransy presents twelve original compositions that paint a landscape of contrasts, dominated by a love of melody and dance. The result is deeply joyful music, enriched by guest appearances from two vocalists, a guitarist, and a saxophonist on four tracks. But the heart of this album lies in the trio, and here Ransy displays a radiant musicality, with his touch and luminous phrasing telling beautiful stories track after track.
