A constant concern for groove characterizes his eight compositions, performed by a sextet entirely devoted to his cause.

The group’s sound is rich and dense, and the three wind instruments blend beautifully in lively arrangements that are sometimes feisty, sometimes dreamy, supported by an energetic rhythm section.

The solos are equally impressive, each telling its own story. There is no quest for originality here, but rather a desire to be part of a tradition dating back to the hard bop of the 1950s. When played with such fervor, this style is timeless and cannot fail to delight lovers of beautiful melodies and swaying rhythms.
