Il reprend la m\u00eame formation pour ce live enregistr\u00e9 au club <em>The Statuary<\/em> \u00e0 Jersey City dont il est par ailleurs le fondateur et directeur artistique.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Se r\u00e9clamant des influences de Lee Morgan, Dizzy Gillespie, Blue Mitchell, Freddie Hubbard, Kenny Dorham et Art Farmer, avec aussi une voix dans la modernit\u00e9 que sont Tom Harrell et Nicholas Payton, on ne peut que souligner la classe d\u2019un tel panth\u00e9on dont il assume l\u2019h\u00e9ritage m\u00e9lodique et dit-il, le phras\u00e9 blues auquel il tient particuli\u00e8rement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Membre de l\u2019orchestre de Wallace Roney, il s\u2019est \u00e9galement joint aux formations de Winard Harper, Christian McBride, Billy Hart, Antonio Hart, Houston Person et George Coleman. Il s\u2019est par ailleurs produit dans des endroits comme le <em>Smalls<\/em> et le <em>Jazz at Lincoln Center<\/em>, rien que \u00e7a\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Adepte d\u2019un bop tr\u00e8s m\u00e9lodique voire lyrique (<em>Out of This World<\/em>), son phras\u00e9 se joue de la texture de l\u2019instrument, avec une maturit\u00e9 \u00e9loquente dans ses improvisations (<em>Django<\/em>), brillamment soutenu par la science latino du pianiste <strong>Oscar Perez<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">M\u00ealant sa voix au lead, le saxophone alto de <strong>Bruce Willliams<\/strong>, tr\u00e8s en verve sur toutes les prises, apporte ce plus d\u2019ing\u00e9niosit\u00e9 cr\u00e9atrice qui vient parachever le dialogue bop de l\u2019entreprise du quintet.
