On a pu \u00e0 l\u2019origine \u2014 et fr\u00e9quemment depuis \u2014 l\u2019entendre dans le style manouche qui est son premier mode de jeu, d\u00e8s l\u2019adolescence.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Il a ensuite pratiqu\u00e9 le jazz fusion, entre autres avec Jaco Pastorius. Plus tard on l\u2019a entendu en duo avec Sylvain Luc \u00e0 la guitare acoustique. Mais, parall\u00e8lement, <strong>Lagr\u00e8ne<\/strong> a toujours manifest\u00e9 un go\u00fbt pour les standards et pour un jeu influenc\u00e9 par des guitaristes tels que Wes Montgomery ou George Benson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Et c\u2019est \u00e0 ce r\u00e9pertoire qu\u2019il se consacre sur ce nouveau disque en quartet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A part quatre th\u00e8mes de sa plume (dont l\u2019un inspir\u00e9 par le \u00ab\u00a0Giant Steps\u00a0\u00bb de John Coltrane) ce sont donc des compositions de Wayne Shorter, de Johnny Mandel ou d\u2019Ivan Lins qui constituent le r\u00e9pertoire de cet opus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Soutenu par les claviers, acoustique ou \u00e9lectriques, de <strong>Jean-Yves Jung<\/strong>, <strong>Lagr\u00e8ne<\/strong> y d\u00e9ploie un jeu virtuose et chaleureux avec une sonorit\u00e9, tant\u00f4t limpide tant\u00f4t plus pulpeuse, d\u2019une remarquable pl\u00e9nitude.
