{"id":44862,"date":"2025-03-28T20:34:26","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T19:34:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/?p=44862"},"modified":"2026-01-06T20:42:03","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T19:42:03","slug":"emma-rawicz-gwilym-simcock-big-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/fr\/emma-rawicz-gwilym-simcock-big-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"Emma Rawicz &#038; Gwilym Simcock &#8211; Big Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Je l\u2019avoue, je ne savais rien de la saxophoniste britannique Emma Rawicz avant de recevoir ce CD qu\u2019elle a enregistr\u00e9 en duo avec le pianiste gallois Gwilym Simcock Simcock, on ne le pr\u00e9sente plus tant le quadrag\u00e9naire a depuis quelques lustres \u00e9tabli une solide r\u00e9putation en Grande-Bretagne et en Europe, sans compter ses collaborations avec Pat Metheny ou Dave Holland. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Emma Rawicz<\/strong>, de son c\u00f4t\u00e9, est une musicienne d\u2019une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es qui a rapidement fait parler d\u2019elle dans son \u00eele natale \u2014 o\u00f9 elle a re\u00e7u une kyrielle de prix \u2014 et qui commence \u00e0 \u00eatre connue sur le continent. Et cette r\u00e9putation est parfaitement m\u00e9rit\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En effet, tant au t\u00e9nor qu\u2019au soprano, la saxophoniste affiche une belle ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019instrument et une sonorit\u00e9 personnelle pleine de nuances et tout \u00e0 fait remarquable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Elle a par ailleurs une personnalit\u00e9 d\u2019une belle maturit\u00e9 qui fait qu\u2019elle dirige parall\u00e8lement un quartet acoustique, un sextet \u00e9lectrique et une grande formation. Et il faut avoir de la personnalit\u00e9 pour se confronter \u00e0 <strong>Simcock<\/strong>, dont la virtuosit\u00e9 \u00e9poustouflante pourrait intimider une n\u00e9ophyte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En effet le pianiste d\u00e9ploie un jeu luxuriant, faisant sonner son instrument comme un orchestre avec une assise rythmique impressionnante et un toucher somptueux.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Mais Miss <strong>Rawicz<\/strong> n\u2019est pas du genre \u00e0 se laisser impressionner et ce duo fonctionne de fa\u00e7on tout \u00e0 fait paritaire, aussi bien au niveau des solos que des compositions que les deux partenaires se partagent \u00e9galitairement, le reste du r\u00e9pertoire \u00e9tant compos\u00e9 d\u2019un standard et d\u2019un th\u00e8me de Stevie Wonder qu\u2019ils appr\u00e9cient tous deux.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On a donc ici un excellent enregistrement sign\u00e9 par deux musiciens au jeu g\u00e9n\u00e9reux et virtuose dont on ne se lasse pas d\u2019explorer les richesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Un disque qui permet de d\u00e9couvrir une saxophoniste dont on n\u2019a pas fini d\u2019entendre parler et qui confirme la r\u00e9putation que son partenaire pianiste s\u2019est forg\u00e9e au fil des ans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-radius: 12px;\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/1rHjReNt80DP3nZGgsgrSn?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-testid=\"embed-iframe\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Musiciens\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Emma Rawicz<\/strong>\u00a0: sax t\u00e9nor et soprano<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Gwilym Simcock<\/strong>\u00a0: piano<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><em>Big Visit<\/em><\/strong> et un <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>HIT COULEURS JAZZ <\/strong><\/span>et <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>BEST OF DU MOIS<\/strong><\/span> sur Couleurs Jazz Radio.
