{"id":44824,"date":"2025-11-14T13:11:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T12:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/?p=44824"},"modified":"2026-01-04T13:27:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T12:27:38","slug":"iiro-rantala-kaisa-maensivu-morten-lund-trinity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/fr\/iiro-rantala-kaisa-maensivu-morten-lund-trinity\/","title":{"rendered":"Iiro Rantala, Kaisa M\u00e4ensivu, Morten Lund &#8211; Trinity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>La derni\u00e8re fois que le pianiste finlandais iiro Rantala avait enregistr\u00e9 en trio avec basse et batterie (voir chronique sur ce site) c\u2019\u00e9tait sur un r\u00e9pertoire de th\u00e8mes personnels. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ici, avec un trio in\u00e9dit \u2014 <strong>Rantala<\/strong> n\u2019avait jamais enregistr\u00e9 avec sa compatriote la bassiste <strong>Kaisa<\/strong> <strong>M\u00e4ensivu<\/strong> \u2014 il se consacre \u00e0 des standards d\u2019une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 puisqu\u2019on y trouve un th\u00e8me de Duke Ellington, de Charlie Parker, de Miles Davis, d\u2019Henri Mancini, le\u00a0<em>Smile<\/em> de Charlie Chaplin et m\u00eame deux incursions dans la musique fran\u00e7aise avec <em>L\u2019Hymne \u00e0 l\u2019Amour<\/em> d\u2019Edith Piaf et, plus \u00e9tonnant, <em>Fais Dodo Colas Mon p\u2019tit Fr\u00e8re<\/em>. Un clin d\u2019\u0153il au fait que le pr\u00e9sent CD est enregistr\u00e9 au Ch\u00e2teau Palmer, au c\u0153ur du vignoble bordelais.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le point commun entre ces th\u00e8mes d\u2019une grande diversit\u00e9 est qu\u2019ils sont interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s au plus pr\u00e8s de la m\u00e9lodie, sans recherche d\u2019effets spectaculaires.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le piano de <strong>Rantala<\/strong> cultive un classicisme du meilleur aloi et affiche une superbe sonorit\u00e9 qui fait sonner magnifiquement l\u2019instrument, entre autres sur une interpr\u00e9tation en solo de <em>In a Sentimental Mood<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La contrebasse n\u2019est pas en reste avec un timbre bois\u00e9 d\u2019une grande pl\u00e9nitude qui est particuli\u00e8rement mis en valeur dans l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation en duo de <em>Fais Dodo\u2026<\/em> et qui fait merveille en <em>walking bass<\/em> sur les autres th\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quant au batteur danois <strong>Morten Lund<\/strong>, il est un habitu\u00e9 du jeu sur les standards, ayant au fil des ans accompagn\u00e9 nombre de musiciens am\u00e9ricains ou europ\u00e9ens dans les clubs de Copenhague, en bon disciple qu\u2019il est de ses mentors Ed Thigpen et Alex Riel.
