{"id":43474,"date":"2025-06-15T22:14:06","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T21:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/?p=43474"},"modified":"2025-06-15T22:21:52","modified_gmt":"2025-06-15T21:21:52","slug":"le-mirifique-orchestra-verdi-remix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/fr\/le-mirifique-orchestra-verdi-remix\/","title":{"rendered":"Le Mirifique orchestra &#8211; Verdi Remix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Depuis le \u00ab\u00a0Westbrook Rossini\u00a0\u00bb du Britannique Mike Westbrook dans les ann\u00e9es 80 c\u2019est \u00e0 ma connaissance la premi\u00e8re fois qu\u2019un musicien de jazz s\u2019attaque \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019un compositeur d\u2019op\u00e9ra italien sur un album entier. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Et pas n\u2019importe qui puisqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de Giuseppe Verdi. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 Westbrook dirigeait un septet, c\u2019est \u00e0 un ensemble de dix musiciens qu\u2019<strong>Alban Darche<\/strong> et <strong>Emmanuel B\u00e9n\u00e8che<\/strong> \u2014 les deux co-leaders du <strong>Mirifique Orchestra<\/strong> \u2014 ont confi\u00e9 les partitions et les arrangements, sign\u00e9s par le saxophoniste qui est \u00e9galement le principal soliste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 14pt;\">Une formation par ailleurs atypique puisqu\u2019elle m\u00eale des musiciens classiques et des jazzmen et comprend entre autres deux cors d\u2019harmonie. Empruntant \u00e0 des \u0153uvres du compositeur italien aussi diverses que le Requiem et les op\u00e9ras La Force du Destin ou A\u00efda, <strong>l\u2019Orchestre Mirifique<\/strong> d\u00e9ploie une p\u00e2te sonore tout \u00e0 fait personnelle o\u00f9 domine le m\u00e9lange des timbres aigus de la fl\u00fbte, de la trompette et de la clarinette et ceux plus graves des cors et du tuba. Une p\u00e2te sonore o\u00f9 l\u2019on retrouve, en plus l\u00e9ger, les nuances de couleurs sonores et de dynamique des enregistrements classiques en orchestre symphonique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-43469\" src=\"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Le-Mirifique-orchestra-xDSC_5654-credit-Fabrice-Vaillant.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"635\" srcset=\"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Le-Mirifique-orchestra-xDSC_5654-credit-Fabrice-Vaillant.jpg 850w, https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Le-Mirifique-orchestra-xDSC_5654-credit-Fabrice-Vaillant-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Le-Mirifique-orchestra-xDSC_5654-credit-Fabrice-Vaillant-768x574.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a9Photo Fabrice Vaillant<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C\u2019est qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas besoin de s\u2019\u00e9loigner de la version originale de ces morceaux pour les faire sonner jazz tant la musique de Verdi, outre ses qualit\u00e9s m\u00e9lodiques, poss\u00e8de souvent une dynamique proche du swing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">La batterie est donc ici assez discr\u00e8te, se contentant d\u2019accompagner la pulsation \u00ab\u00a0naturelle\u00a0\u00bb des th\u00e8mes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Il en est de m\u00eame pour la guitare \u00e9lectrique qui assure essentiellement une fonction coloriste.
