{"id":42843,"date":"2025-03-05T09:58:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T08:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/?p=42843"},"modified":"2025-03-05T10:07:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T09:07:30","slug":"avery-sharpe-i-am-my-neighbors-keeper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/fr\/avery-sharpe-i-am-my-neighbors-keeper\/","title":{"rendered":"Avery Sharpe &#8211; I Am My Neighbors Keeper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Essentiellement connu pour sa collaboration avec McCoy Tyner, qu\u2019il accompagna pendant une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, Avery Sharpe est un sideman recherch\u00e9 qui a jou\u00e9 entre autres aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Yusef Lateef, Archie Shepp ou Art Blakey. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Moins connu en tant que leader il a n\u00e9anmoins enregistr\u00e9 une quinzaine de disques sous son nom, dont voici le dernier en date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Il s\u2019y pr\u00e9sente comme bassiste, soliste et compositeur d\u2019une dizaine de morceaux o\u00f9 son quartet est accompagn\u00e9 par un quatuor \u00e0 cordes. Les arrangements pour cordes sont souvent nerveux et parfois languides mais n\u2019alourdissent jamais la musique qu\u2019ils dopent au contraire avec un swing tant\u00f4t r\u00eaveur tant\u00f4t pugnace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Les basses (acoustique \u00e0 quatre ou six cordes et \u00e9lectrique) sont mises en avant dans des solos pleins de s\u00e8ve o\u00f9 la magnifique sonorit\u00e9 de <strong>Sharpe<\/strong> fait merveille et les compositions sont toutes marqu\u00e9es par un go\u00fbt prononc\u00e9 pour la m\u00e9lodie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Sur quelques th\u00e8mes un balafon ou des percussions africaines viennent donner une nouvelle couleur \u00e0 la musique sans que l\u2019homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 de l\u2019album en souffre.
