Le sujet me semble tr\u00e8s important au vu des conflits croissants en Europe et dans le monde. J&rsquo;ai lu des t\u00e9moignages de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque et j&rsquo;ai voulu prendre position contre ce que des milliers de personnes doivent encore subir aujourd&rsquo;hui. Un appel \u00e0 la paix dans le monde. Une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de pi\u00e8ces tr\u00e8s \u00e9motionnelles a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e, qui tente de d\u00e9peindre les gens, les conditions de vie et l&rsquo;\u00e9poque dans laquelle nous vivons. Pour de nombreux musiciens, l&rsquo;un de ces moments est le d\u00e9m\u00e9nagement \u00e0 New York &#8211; un lieu l\u00e9gendaire pour la musique de jazz. <strong><em>Small Things<\/em><\/strong> de <strong>Jackson Potter<\/strong> retrace son \u00e9volution en tant que guitariste, compositeur et arrangeur depuis qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;est install\u00e9 \u00e0 New York en 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En octobre 2021, <strong>Potter<\/strong> sort son premier album, <em>Restless<\/em> qui met en avant ses talents de guitariste et de compositeur. L&rsquo;album figure au Top Jazz Album Chart de RMR pour l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2021 et re\u00e7oit un accueil enthousiaste de la part des critiques et de la presse. La m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, il s&rsquo;installe \u00e0 New York, o\u00f9 il se produit depuis lors dans des lieux embl\u00e9matiques tels que le Dizzy&rsquo;s, le Django, l&rsquo;Aman et l&rsquo;Atrium Stage du Jazz at Lincoln Center. Peu apr\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e dans la ville, Potter met sur pied un nouveau quintette compos\u00e9 d&rsquo;<strong>Alex Ridout<\/strong> \u00e0 la trompette, de <strong>Troy Roberts<\/strong> au saxophone t\u00e9nor, de <strong>Hamish Smith<\/strong> \u00e0 la basse et de <strong>Marcello Cardillo<\/strong> \u00e0 la batterie. Ce quintet constitue le noyau dur de l&rsquo;album.
