African Roots"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Les musiciens de jazz, tout style et \u00e9poque confondus, ont souvent fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la musique africaine dans leurs r\u00e9alisations. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Parmi eux, citons Art Blakey et son <em>Afro-Drum<\/em> Ensemble, John Coltrane avec le recueil \u00ab\u00a0<em>Africa Brass<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb (1960), Randy Weston (\u00ab\u00a0<em>Uhuru Africa Freedom Africa<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, 1960), Hank Jones (\u00ab\u00a0<em>Sarala<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, 1995) et, bien s\u00fbr, Duke Ellington qui composa la \u00ab\u00a0<em>Liberian Suite<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb en 1947.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Plus pr\u00e8s de nous, Olivier Hutman et Lamine Cissokho ou le quintette African Jazz Roots constitu\u00e9 de Simon Goubert, Sofia Domancich, Ablaye Cissoko, Ibrahima \u00ab\u00a0Ibou\u00a0\u00bb Ndir et Jean-Philippe Viret, ont entrepris une d\u00e9marche analogue, au moins dans son principe, poursuivie ici par \u00ab\u00a0<strong><em>African Roots<\/em><\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0, le deuxi\u00e8me album produit par le groupe INK du batteur et compositeur <strong>Victor Gachet<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On y d\u00e9couvre comment les traditions africaines et jazzistiques se nourrissent l&rsquo;une de l&rsquo;autre pour former un tout coh\u00e9rent bien apparent dans une combinaison heureuse de l&rsquo;esth\u00e9tique hard-bop et des percussions africaines magnifi\u00e9e dans <em>Amazone<\/em> et <em>African Roots<\/em> par les improvisations brillantes de <strong>Pierre-Alain Goualch<\/strong> et de <strong>L\u00e9onard Kretz<\/strong>, la rencontre des deux univers s&rsquo;\u00e9panouissant jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la symbiose dans <em>Tchemogo<\/em> et <em>Mandara<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En r\u00e9sultent des alliages sonores in\u00e9dits et un bouillonnement rythmique qui entra\u00eenent les intervenants \u00e0 bousculer les fronti\u00e8res entre genres comme dans <em>International Anthem.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Enfin, judicieusement intercal\u00e9s dans le r\u00e9pertoire, trois <em>Interludes<\/em> apportent une touche de vari\u00e9t\u00e9 bienvenue en donnant l&rsquo;occasion aux deux musiciens burkinab\u00e8 d&rsquo;exprimer une fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 sans faille \u00e0 leurs racines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Un beau projet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Personnel :<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>L\u00e9onard Kretz<\/strong><strong> : <\/strong>saxophones t\u00e9nor &amp;
