Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre rest\u00e9 fid\u00e8le pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es \u00e0 la formation comprenant Stephan Crump \u00e0 la contrebasse et Marcus Gilmore \u00e0 la batterie,\u00a0Iyer a choisi de s\u2019entourer de deux non moins excellents instrumentistes\u00a0: la bassiste australienne Linda May Han Oh et le batteur \u00e9tatsunien Tyshawn Sorey. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Comme sur ses pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents albums, l\u2019approche du piano de <strong>Vijay Iyer<\/strong> couvre un spectre particuli\u00e8rement large, incluant \u2014 outre ses propres compositions \u2014 un th\u00e8me de Stevie Wonder et un autre du saxophoniste chicagoan Roscoe Mitchell, un de ses anciens mentors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">La ma\u00eetrise du clavier du pianiste quinquag\u00e9naire \u00e9clate tout au long de ce nouvel opus o\u00f9 il utilise toute la tessiture de l\u2019instrument, pratiquant volontiers un jeu de main gauche percussif tandis que la droite explore des territoires plus m\u00e9lodiques et rythmiquement complexes.
