D\u00e8s le premier morceau on est plong\u00e9 dans une ambiance festive o\u00f9 les diverses sections modulent des phrases m\u00e9lodiques avant un solo de trompette suivi d\u2019un court solo de batterie. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C\u2019est ici une sorte de mise en bouche qui pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 ce qui va suivre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019originalit\u00e9 de ce r\u00e9pertoire est qu\u2019il est compos\u00e9 et arrang\u00e9 par des membres de l\u2019orchestre qui \u00e9crivent \u00e9videmment en connaissant bien les musiciens qui vont l\u2019interpr\u00e9ter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ces compositions poss\u00e8dent \u00e9galement une p\u00e2te sonore homog\u00e8ne qui est la signature de ce big band dont l\u2019un des influences est de toute \u00e9vidence l\u2019orchestre de Thad Jones et Mel Lewis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-36739\" src=\"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Orchid-groupe-cc-photo-@Clement-Simon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"579\" srcset=\"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Orchid-groupe-cc-photo-@Clement-Simon.jpg 850w, https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Orchid-groupe-cc-photo-@Clement-Simon-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Orchid-groupe-cc-photo-@Clement-Simon-768x523.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019entrelacs des voix sur plusieurs morceaux prend le relai du jeu par sections et les sonorit\u00e9s des diff\u00e9rents instruments sont toutes savoureuses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Autre qualit\u00e9 de cet orchestre\u00a0: le travail sur les dynamiques et la fa\u00e7on dont les parties d\u2019un morceau sonnent les unes par rapport aux autres, cr\u00e9ant un mouvement qui s\u2019enfle ou d\u00e9croit avec une fluidit\u00e9 remarquable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Les solos, par ailleurs, sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement assez brefs et s\u2019int\u00e8grent parfaitement aux morceaux o\u00f9 l\u2019on voit que c\u2019est le jeu collectif qui prime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">C\u2019est donc \u00e0 un orchestre \u00e0 la fois classique dans sa configuration et juv\u00e9nile dans sa d\u00e9marche qu\u2019on a affaire et c\u2019est un plaisir de l\u2019entendre d\u00e9ployer la vigueur de son chant sur un r\u00e9pertoire original et convaincant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border-radius: 12px;\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/5rADGR0EBW51iPLw1ivBys?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block;
