Autour de compositions toutes personnelles, le jeu s\u2019\u00e9tale dans une faconde \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on Ben Webster. (<em>One Step At a Time<\/em>)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Sixi\u00e8me album sous son nom pour ce saxophoniste qui n\u2019en est plus \u00e0 la d\u00e9nomination d\u2019\u00e9toile montante du jazz danois et qui a acquis sa notori\u00e9t\u00e9 depuis quelques ann\u00e9es, apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9buts dans les pupitres d\u00e9di\u00e9s des big-band. Une musique plus assagie, un souffle retenu, au service d\u2019interpr\u00e9tations qui ne confinent toutefois pas \u00e0 la langueur et \u00e9voquent plut\u00f4t un calme disert. Le tout servi par une rythmique irr\u00e9prochable, on sent que ceux-l\u00e0 se connaissent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">El\u00e9gance est le mot qui convient \u00e0 cet enregistrement. Un son magnifi\u00e9 par le souffle mesur\u00e9, sans ostentation d\u00e9mesur\u00e9e, un piano dans une architecture de relance aux accents parfois Monkien encouragent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vocation d\u2019un temps que mart\u00e8le une nonchalance agit\u00e9e par un vent de promeneur solitaire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Soyeux serait l\u2019adjectif qui justifie le jeu \u00e0 la fois fin et profond, d\u2019une d\u00e9licatesse qui se joue de la tessiture de l\u2019instrument parcouru avec recherche par le soliste (<em>One Fine Day<\/em>).
