{"id":35644,"date":"2023-01-02T13:49:05","date_gmt":"2023-01-02T12:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/?p=35644"},"modified":"2023-01-02T14:05:30","modified_gmt":"2023-01-02T13:05:30","slug":"bakerzmillion-live-in-racine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/couleursjazz.fr\/fr\/bakerzmillion-live-in-racine\/","title":{"rendered":"BakerzMillion &#8211; Live in Racine"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Dans la s\u00e9rie des enregistrements dont on ne parle que tr\u00e8s rarement et pour ainsi dire pas du tout, voici une association d\u2019un pianiste et d\u2019un tromboniste qui emm\u00e8nent un sextet de belle facture dans la tradition d\u2019un jazz \u00e0 la Messengers.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Enregistr\u00e9 live, ce hard-bop virevolte sur des compositions sign\u00e9es pour la plupart par les deux metteurs en sc\u00e8ne que sont <strong>Steve Million<\/strong> au piano et <strong>Andy Baker<\/strong> au trombone. L\u2019\u00e9criture fait la part belle aux interventions des autres souffleurs ce qui permet \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de swingbopper avec grande aisance et belle voilure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ce sextet qui existe depuis 2008 (Eh oui\u00a0!) \u00e9cume les clubs de Chicago et les environs et d\u00e9livre dans une abondance de chaleur cuivr\u00e9e, un jazz qui sait cultiver la r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux anciens du style et un post-bop sublim\u00e9 par l\u2019\u00e9criture tr\u00e8s actuelle des compositions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019arc de cercle du spectre musical est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 d\u00e8s les deux premiers morceaux, un \u00ab\u00a0<em>Bluesish<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb tr\u00e8s enlev\u00e9 suivi du \u00ab\u00a0<em>Baby Steps<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb plus doucereux et qui met en valeur les volutes pianistiques et l\u2019harmonie d\u2019ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Deuxi\u00e8me enregistrement du sextet apr\u00e8s \u00ab\u00a0<em>Mood Point<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb en 2012, on attend avec impatience la prochaine livraison de ce sextet qui revigore un hard-bop aux sonorit\u00e9s puissantes mais qui sait prendre aussi quelques tournures plus alanguies servies avec maestria par un trombone dont on sent la veine inspirante d\u2019un Frank Rosolino.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Un jazz qui s\u2019aventure dans l\u2019avant-garde d\u2019une forme de n\u00e9o hard-bop, \u00e0 \u00e9couter tant pour l\u2019histoire du style que pour la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019une nouvelle fa\u00e7on de l\u2019interpr\u00e9ter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BakerzMillion - All-Star Jazz Sextet performing Blue Note Jazz from the 1960&#039;s.\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zg_lL1ABWiM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
