En clair, le th\u00e8me \u00ab\u00a0A\u00a0\u00bb est jou\u00e9 deux fois, puis un pont \u00ab\u00a0B\u00bb est plac\u00e9 avant le dernier \u00ab\u00a0A\u00a0\u00bb qui conclut le morceau.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Il existe en effet deux interpr\u00e9tations diff\u00e9rentes\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">L\u2019originale de Juan Tizol, jou\u00e9e par Barney Bigard, dont la premi\u00e8re interpr\u00e9tation connue\u00a0date du 19 d\u00e9cembre 1936 &#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Duke Ellington - Caravan (feat. Barney and His Jazzopaters)\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rDfWc7Ox5-s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>ou <\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/qTRlE2QmME4\">http:\/\/youtu.be\/qTRlE2QmME4<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Puis une interpr\u00e9tation modifi\u00e9e par Duke Ellington qui n\u2019aimait pas le \u00ab\u00a0pont\u00a0\u00bb B \u00e9crit \u00e0 l\u2019origine, et qui le r\u00e9\u00e9crit pour ses interpr\u00e9tations d\u00e8s 1937.\u00a0 Ce \u00ab\u00a0pont B Ellington\u00a0\u00bb devient la version d\u00e9finitive. Voici une version de 1937, jou\u00e9e au trombone \u00e0 pistons par Juan Tizol\u00a0 en personne, avec une superbe rythmique \u00ab\u00a0orientale\u00a0\u00bb de Louis Bellson \u00e0 la Batterie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cAeEhTD1xhU\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cAeEhTD1xhU<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On remarquera que Juan Tizol joue le th\u00e8me (A) puis SON \u00ab\u00a0pont B\u00a0\u00bb, puis celui de Duke Ellington, puis revient au A\u2026 viennent ensuite les improvisations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Juan Tizol vendit ses droits d\u2019auteur \u00e0 Irving Mills imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s cette date. D\u00e8s que le morceau aura du succ\u00e8s, Irving Mills les lui rendra. Plus ou moins originales, elles restent fid\u00e8les soit au titre d\u2019origine &#8211; la caravane qui d\u00e9file lentement dans le d\u00e9sert, au rythme des chameaux &#8211; soit aux s\u00e9quences. Certains utilisent simplement le th\u00e8me pour en faire des\u00a0 variations plus libres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Avec Kenny Drew, beaucoup plus moderne, on sent l\u2019\u00e9volution \u00ab\u00a0piano\u00a0\u00bb et la diff\u00e9rence de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9cout\u00e9 Errol Garner. Pour l\u2019\u00e9ternit\u00e9. Exag\u00e9ration\u00a0? Certainement. Mais \u00e9coutez ses \u00a0versions envoutantes, dont l\u2019une des plus \u00e9volu\u00e9es se trouve sur le disque \u00ab\u00a0Promenade with Duke\u00a0\u00bb, o\u00f9 il interpr\u00e8te une sorte de \u00ab\u00a0promenade avec Caravan\u00a0\u00bb. On entend \u00e0 la fois une science musicale et un art, des sons, des accords et harmonies extraordinaires. Il semble impossible de faire \u00e9voluer \u00ab\u00a0Caravan\u00a0\u00bb plus et mieux que Michel Petrucciani sans d\u00e9naturer le th\u00e8me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">La vid\u00e9o r\u00e9sume son g\u00e9nie et celui de ce morceau\u00a0: la m\u00e9lodie et le rythme, certes plus rapide, mais toujours envoutant.
