Il est toujours passionnant d’entendre un artiste \u00e9voquer les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences musicales \u00e0 l’origine du d\u00e9veloppement et de la maturation de son style.<\/h3>\n

C’est cette d\u00e9marche qu’accomplit ici Patrick Artero\u00a0<\/strong>en dressant des portraits r\u00e9ussis des trompettistes qui ont jalonn\u00e9 son chemin musical.<\/p>\n

De ses souvenirs \u00e9mergent King Oliver, Roy Eldridge, Bix Beiderbecke, Cootie Williams, Red Allen, Rex Stewart, Tommy Ladnier, Bunk Johnson, Buck Clayton, Joe Newman<\/strong>et Louis Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>dont il restitue la mani\u00e8re en associant l’esprit et la forme.<\/p>\n

Appara\u00eet alors ce qui fait l’authenticit\u00e9 du langage de Patrick Artero\u00a0<\/strong>nourri \u00e0 ces r\u00e9f\u00e9rences dont il a su tirer la \u00ab\u00a0substantifique moelle\u00a0\u00bb.<\/h4>\n

Les po\u00e8mes de Langston Hugues<\/strong> r\u00e9cit\u00e9s par le guitariste Don Vappie<\/strong> apportent une touche po\u00e9tique pr\u00e9cieuse et s’int\u00e8grent \u00e0 ce disque fort bien produit. Ainsi honor\u00e9, le pass\u00e9 reste d’une urgente actualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n
