Young Talents Competition winner 2014 ! @ Jazz Festival de Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s, Paris<\/h4>\n

The Young Talents Competition jury(*) was not wrong. There is a more than communicative energy coming through Christophe Girard & M\u00e9lusine. For this quintet, the accordionist, composer and improviser Christophe Girard reunited his longstanding companions who are some of the most talented musicians of the French jazz scene. His audacious compositions are offering a diversity of sound and storytelling, <\/b>like a shiver, but also like the most electric storm. Respecting the accordionist wish to write for the personalities around him, using what\u2019s unique about them; his music reminds <\/b>of pop, rock and repetitive music.<\/p>\n

The Festival is proud to discover and reveal every year, tomorrow\u2019s talent during its Young Talents Competition <\/b>which is going to take place on the 24th<\/sup> and 25th<\/sup> of May.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Le jury* du Tremplin Jeunes Talents 2014 ne s\u2019est pas tromp\u00e9, Christophe Girard & M\u00e9lusine v\u00e9hicule une \u00e9nergie plus que communicative. Pour ce quintet, l\u2019accord\u00e9oniste, compositeur et improvisateur Christophe Girard a r\u00e9uni ses complices de longue date, parmi les plus talentueux de la jeune sc\u00e8ne jazz fran\u00e7aise. Ses compositions sont audacieuses et permettent une palette sonore et narrative riche, allant du fr\u00e9missement \u00e0 l\u2019orage le plus \u00e9lectrique. Inscrite dans son \u00e9poque et refl\u00e9tant le souhait de l\u2019accord\u00e9oniste d\u2019\u00e9crire pour les personnalit\u00e9s qui l\u2019entourent en faisant appel \u00e0 ce qu\u2019elles ont de singulier, la musique donne \u00e0 entendre des \u00e9chos de pop, de rock et de musique r\u00e9p\u00e9titive.
