St\u00e9phane Belmondo<\/strong> avait 19 ans, quand Chet Baker<\/strong>, le premier musicien \u00e0 l\u2019avoir inspir\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re si profonde l\u2019\u00e9couta et d\u00e9clara aussit\u00f4t qu\u2019il \u00e9tait\u00a0le trompettiste europ\u00e9en le plus prometteur. 35 ans plus tard, St\u00e9phane Belmondo a emmagasin\u00e9, puis retenu l\u2019\u00e9motion, encore davantage que les le\u00e7ons du ma\u00eetre. Love for Chet<\/em>, un clin d\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 Love for Sale<\/em>, est sa d\u00e9claration et le premier album d\u2019un triptyque\u00a0 \u00a0qu\u2019il va consacrer au trompettiste disparu en 1988, \u00a0ces 3 prochaines ann\u00e9es, avec des formations diff\u00e9rentes.<\/p>\n

Ce premier projet avec Thomas Bramerie<\/strong> \u00e0 la contrebasse pour souligner les battements du c\u0153ur et Jesse Van Ruler<\/strong> \u00e0 la guitare, virtuose tout en finesse et brio est un sommet.<\/p>\n

Un parfait trio, dont on oublie qui est le leader, tellement l\u2019osmose s\u2019op\u00e8re. Ils sont rejoints sur un titre : Blame it on my youth<\/em> par la voix \u00ab\u00a0Bakerienne<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb d\u2019Amin Bouker<\/strong>.\u00a0Intensit\u00e9, l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9, d\u00e9licatesse, les qualificatifs se bousculent pour cet hommage si personnel.<\/p>\n

Le concert au New Morning, le 6 mai 2015, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 Chet Baker avait invit\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois St\u00e9phane Belmondo, \u00e9tait le lieu \u00e9vident\u2026 La salle unanime, transport\u00e9e, r\u00e9pondit avec passion.<\/p>\n

St\u00e9phane Belmondo was 19 when Chet Baker \u2012 the first musician to inspire him profoundly \u2012 heard him play and declared him the most promising European trumpeter. Thirty-five years later, St\u00e9phane Belmondo has stockpiled and saved the feeling even more than the lessons from the master. Love for Chet, a tip of the hat to Love for Sale, is his testimonial and the first album of a triptych he is dedicating to the legendary trumpeter who died in 1988. It will be recorded over the next three years, with different line-ups.<\/em>
\n With Thomas Bramerie on bass to emphasize the heart beats and Jesse Van Ruler on guitar, a virtuoso all finesse and brio, this first project reaches the peak.<\/em>
\n A perfect trio, with such osmosis we forget who is the leader. On one track, <\/em>Blame it on my youth, they are joined by the Bakerian voice of Amin Bouker. Intensity, lightness, delicacy \u2013 so many qualities for such a personal tribute.<\/em>
