He doesn&rsquo;t need the approval of anyone. Since the beginning of his carreer, He want to do a thing, he do it. Bob is a master of his destiny! When he was young, he was the symbol of Bohemian style with his acoustic guitar. One day, he change his sound after playing loud electric guitar. Dylan can manage the stress and the pressure without fears. Dylan belongs now to the Great American Songbook. Even when he&rsquo;ll leaves us, his music will be play by the new generation. I must confess myselft that I am not the number one fan.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A friend of mine bought all Dylan&rsquo;s discs. With his generosity, I have the chance to listen it. Let&rsquo;s speak about Bob! For the fans, \u201cLove and Theft\u201d and \u201cModern Times\u201d are hard to exceed. When Dylan annonce the publication of a forthcoming album, the fans always hope for an album of the level of the two titles mentioned. If Bob goes in another direction, the fans will follow even if they are destabilized. According to my friend , \u201cShadows in the Night\u201d is not bad, but it miss some tonus. After I listen it, I understand very well what he wants to say.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With my \u201cjazzy ears\u201d, I must tell you that I really like this new project of Dylan. I believe that Bob extended his territory. It&rsquo;s a noble project : to get in the spirit of Frank Sinatra and to approach the music as he did it. Dylan adds a difficulty. Sinatra had the habit to be accompanied by orchestras by several musicians. Dylan approaches the music with a small formation in a core of five musicians plus three additional musicians for three songs.<\/em><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iOxy_hy22CA\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<em>This album contains ten songs. This time, Bob devotes himself only to singing. He leaves Charlie Sexton and Stu Kimball to deal with the guitars. Tony Garnier is on bass\u00a0\u00a0and George C. Receli is on drums. The beautiful surprise of this album is the presence of Donny Herron with\u00a0the \u201cpedal steel guitar\u201d. The \u201c<\/em>spotlight\u00a0\u00bb<em> is on him. A star is born!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With the first title \u201c<\/em>I&rsquo; m A fool to want you<em>\u201d, Dylan announces the intention of the project. Andrew Martin and Francisco Torres add a cordial key with their trombones. Dylan Hart plays of \u201c<\/em>French Horn<em>\u201d. It&rsquo;s very surprising to hear Bob singing so lyrical. For the second title, the same formation of instruments, but with Alan Kaplan in the trombone and Joseph Meyer in \u201cFrench Horn\u201d. Third at ninth piece-rates, it is the five musicians who do all the work. Once again, the player of pedal steel does an exceptional job. The final is a whole final! The album finishes with \u201cThat Lucky Old Sun\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>All the the honors goes well for this project. The jazz lovers have the habit to hear projects when they can hear the richniss of all instruments. Here everything is of exploited. There is no swing, no improvisations. Il n&rsquo;a pas besoin de l&rsquo;approbation de ses fans pour avancer droit devant. Il aime une chose, il l&rsquo;a fait. Il d\u00e9cide de jouer du clavier plut\u00f4t que la guitare, il le fait. \u00a0Troquer le clavier pour la guitare, il le fait. Il d\u00e9cide de ne rien jouer, juste chanter, il le fait. Bob est ma\u00eetre de sa destin\u00e9e!<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 ses d\u00e9buts, il \u00e9tait l&rsquo;artiste, le symbole du boh\u00e8me avec sa guitare acoustique. Un jour, malgr\u00e9 l&rsquo;insatisfaction de ses fans, il troque l&rsquo;acoustique pour l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrique. Dylan peut provoquer, mais il peut aussi se moquer de lui-m\u00eame. Dylan est fort : la pression, il la g\u00e8re tr\u00e8s bien.\u00a0Dylan fait maintenant partie du <em>Great Songbook<\/em> am\u00e9ricain. M\u00eame lorsqu&rsquo;il nous quittera, sa musique traversera le temps et sera jou\u00e9e par de jeunes musiciennes et musiciens. Sa vie et sa musique suscitent toujours de l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat pour quiconque s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse s\u00e9rieusement \u00e0 la musique.<\/p>\n<p>Je dois vous avouer que je ne suis pas un fan de la premi\u00e8re heure. Il y a pr\u00e8s de moi, un ami qui aime Dylan et qui ach\u00e8te syst\u00e9matiquement ses disques au moment m\u00eame de leurs parutions. De temps \u00e0 autre, je pr\u00eate l&rsquo;oreille \u00e0 la musique de Bob Dylan. Tout comme cet ami, j&rsquo;ai une affection particuli\u00e8re pour la clique Campbell-Sexton. Ce sont deux guitaristes incroyablement talentueux. Avec eux, la musique est un d\u00e9lice. Bob n&rsquo;est pas fou, lorsqu&rsquo;il peut avoir \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s de bons musiciens qui comprennent sa pens\u00e9e musicale, il peut se rendre tr\u00e8s loin dans ses projets personnels. D&rsquo;accord, Campbell est pr\u00e9sentement ailleurs, sur d&rsquo;autres projets que ceux de Bob. Heureusement pour nous, Sexton est l\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Parlons de Bob! Pour les fans, \u00ab<em>Love and Theft<\/em>\u00bb et \u00ab<em>Modern Times<\/em>\u00bb sont durs \u00e0 surpasser. Lorsque Dylan annonce la parution d&rsquo;un prochain album, les fans esp\u00e8rent toujours un album du niveau des deux titres mentionn\u00e9s. Si Bob va dans un autre direction, les fans suivent m\u00eames s&rsquo;ils ne sont pas d&rsquo;accords. D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s cet ami qui est fan de Dylan, le tout nouveau \u00ab<em>Shadows in the Night<\/em>\u00bb n&rsquo;est pas mauvais, mais manque de tonus. C&rsquo;est comme on dirait, <em>c&rsquo;est un peu trop assis<\/em>. En l&rsquo;\u00e9coutant, je comprends tr\u00e8s bien ce qu&rsquo;il veut dire.<\/p>\n<p>Avec mes oreilles \u00abjazzy\u00bb, je dois vous dire que j&rsquo;aime beaucoup ce nouveau projet de Dylan. Je n&rsquo;\u00e9cris pas ces lignes pour contrarier cet ami. Au contraire, je crois que Bob agrandit son territoire sonore. Son projet est particulier : de piger dans le r\u00e9pertoire de Frank Sinatra et d&rsquo;approcher la musique comme il le faisait. Dylan ajoute une difficult\u00e9. Sinatra avait l&rsquo;habitude d&rsquo;\u00eatre accompagn\u00e9 par des orchestres de plusieurs musiciens. Il suffit de pr\u00eater l&rsquo;oreille \u00e0 n&rsquo;importe laquelle chanson interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par Sinatra pour constater qu&rsquo;une grosse machine \u00e9tait toujours derri\u00e8re lui.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4iQhGb2db-Q\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nDylan approche la musique avec une formation r\u00e9duite avec un noyau de cinq musiciens plus l&rsquo;ajout pour trois chansons de trois musiciens suppl\u00e9mentaires. Pas de violons sirupeux, pas de gros punch, c&rsquo;est tout en douceur.<\/p>\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sent album contient dix titres. Cette fois, Bob se consacre uniquement au chant. Il laisse Charlie Sexton et Stu Kimball s&rsquo;occuper des guitares. Tony Garnier est \u00e0 la basse et George C. Receli aux percussions. La belle surprise de cet album est la pr\u00e9sence du Donny Herron \u00e0 la \u00abpedal steel guitar\u00bb. Dans le jargon, on dirait que c&rsquo;est lui qui a le \u00ab<em>spotlight<\/em>\u00bb dessus. Et\u00a0quel\u00a0talent!<\/p>\n<p>Avec le premier titre \u00abI&rsquo;m A Fool To Want You\u00bb, Dylan annonce l&rsquo;intention du projet. Du troisi\u00e8me au neuvi\u00e8me titre, ce sont les cinq musiciens qui font tout le travail. Encore une fois, le joueur de pedal steel fait un travail exceptionnel. La finale est toute une finale! L&rsquo;album se termine avec \u00abThat Lucky Old Sun\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Les timbres sont \u00e0 l&rsquo;honneur pour ce projet. Les m\u00e9lomanes jazz ont l&rsquo;habitude d&rsquo;entendre des projets dont les timbres des instruments sont exploit\u00e9s. Encore une fois, ici c&rsquo;est la douceur, qui est le leitmotiv. Il n&rsquo;y a pas de swing, pas d\u2019improvisations. \u00c9coutez avant d&rsquo;acheter !<\/p>\n<p>Pour ma part, j&rsquo;aime beaucoup.
