It consists of 9 original compositions that offer a glimpse of their aim and scope in gypsy jazz, and one composition of Django Reinhardt, a hommage to the founder of this genre<\/p>\n
The second album, released in late May 2014, again by Hot Club Records under supervision of Jon Larsen, is dedicated to jazz standards, some of them rarely performed and recorded by gypsy jazz ensembles.<\/p>\n
This second album is titled Swing ’14.<\/p>\n

The Band Members are :<\/b><\/p>\n
Orjen Ridanovic (lead guitar):<\/b><\/p>\n Orjen Ridanovic<\/p><\/div>\n Born in 1985, he already performed at different Jazz festivals in Croatia and abroad.\u00a0His technique is very good of course, but furthermore, he is a real sensitive musician with a strong personnality. Just listen to him !<\/p>\n Aldo Fosko (clarinet\/piano):<\/b><\/p>\n Born in 1991, his sound is very smooth and dynamic at the same time. He really brings balkan flavours to Django’s style.\u00a0His activity on the jazz scene in Heidelberg (GER) has led to his appearance on several concert venues.<\/p>\n In his spare time he is an active composer of classical music. Examples of his opus are a clarinet concerto, a piano concerto, an orchestral suite, a sonata for clarinet and piano, three piano suites and various other compositions for solo or chamber performers.<\/p>\n Marko First (violin):<\/b><\/p>\n Marko First<\/p><\/div>\n Born in 1984, Marko is another great Balkan Folklore musician, who plays violin and different traditional croatian instruments. From 2009 to 2011, he was a soloist with the Russian National Orchestra of Traditional Instruments \u00ab\u00a0Ossipov\u00a0\u00bb, having concerts in Strassbourg, Paris, Moscow and in the General Assembly of the UN in New York.\u00a0He joined Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band in 2013.<\/p>\n Tomi Novak (ac.bass\/double bass\/ac.guitar):<\/b><\/p>\n Born in 1980, Tomi currently works as a musician with various jazz, ethno and pop ensembles in Croatia.\u00a0He performed at Cittanova Blues Festival (2002), and in many festivals as Blues sur Seine (France) 2010, World Blues Challenge, Memphis, USA (2011), European Blues Challenge, Berlin, Germany (2011), Stallet Ethno, Stockholm, Sweden (2011), Ethno concert \u2013 Copenhagen (2011) and Ethno Concert \u2013 Paris (2011). Furthermore, he performed on almost every bigger jazz event on Croatian and international jazz and blues scene, encompassing various cities and settings.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/b>Milivoj Majdak (rhythm guitar):<\/b><\/p>\n He was born in 1951 in Zagreb. He encountered music at an early age, taking up classical guitar as the main instrument. He was also much active in the field of jazz. He was a member of the Jazz Orchestra of the Croatian Radio-Television for a period of 25 years (1989 \u2013 2014), after which he officially retired, leaving behind numerous appearances, including collaborations with many of the guest soloists, such as Ivo Robi\u0107 or Michel Legrand. He is currently the rhythm guitarist of two gypsy jazz ensembles \u2013 Hot Club Zagreb, led by Mate Mati\u0161i\u0107, in which he performed with many leading European jazz musicians, such as Stochelo Rosenberg, Romane, Christian Escoude, Bireli Lagrene, Florin Niculescu, Fiona Monbet i Adrien Moignard, and, as of 2014, Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band.<\/p>\n ____________________________<\/p>\n Nous voulions pr\u00e9senter aujourd’hui, une nouvelle couleur du Jazz manouche, fa\u00e7on Django Reinhardt:<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 en 2010, \u00e0 Groznjan – Croatie. Une certaine fascination pour l’\u0153uvre de Django Reinhardt ainsi que l’amour pour le jazz manouche les ont rapproch\u00e9s, ce qui a abouti \u00e0 la formation du quintette.<\/i><\/p>\n Depuis, ils ont jou\u00e9 la musique de Django Reinhardt, dans les clubs de jazz et des festivals en Croatie et sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement invit\u00e9s \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision nationale croate.<\/i><\/p>\n Leur performance a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 remarqu\u00e9 au<\/i> \u00ab\u00a0PSSST! Festival du film muet \u00ab\u00a02012\/2013 \u00e0 Zagreb, o\u00f9 ils improvisaient en direct.<\/i><\/p>\n En Juin 2013, le groupe sort son premier album en association avec le Hot Club Records (NOR) sous la conduite de Jon Larsen (<\/i>Hot Club de Norvege).<\/i><\/p>\n Ce premier album contient neuf compositions originales qui offrent un aper\u00e7u de leurs objectifs musicaux dans le domaine du jazz manouche, et une composition de Django Reinhardt, en hommage au fondateur de ce genre.<\/i><\/p>\n Le deuxi\u00e8me album, sorti \u00e0 la fin mai 2014, \u00e0 nouveau produit par le Hot Club Records sous la supervision encore, de Jon Larsen, est d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 des standards de jazz, certains d’entre eux rarement jou\u00e9s et enregistr\u00e9s par d’autres ensembles de jazz manouche.Ce deuxi\u00e8me album s’intitule <\/i>\u00a0swing <\/i>’14<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2nd Oridano album<\/p><\/div>\n Les Membres du groupe sont:<\/p>\n Orjen Ridanovic<\/b> (guitare lead):<\/p>\n N\u00e9 en 1985.
